SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!

Next week is the last week of integrated, which means POLs are here! POLs will be presented next Tuesday and Wednesday, April 17 & 18. 
                          Hour 1 goes from 1:40pm - 2:40pm
                          Hour 2 goes from 2:45pm - 3:45pm

Click HERE to access the sign-up sheet to see what time your child will be presenting. The column that is highlighted yellow shows the order of presentations for my class.  The other times just show where your child will be viewing other POLs when not presenting.

Remember that Friday, April 20 is the last day of integrated, which means PARTY! Start thinking about what you would like to bring in for the party.  Please use this SIGN-UP sheet to help organize and make sure we have a balance of items brought in.

It's been a really fun semester, and I'm looking forward to a successful ending!

Week of 4/9 - 4/13

We will begin to workshop the poetry analysis essays this week. You will have comments from me to review, and you will work with a minimum 2-3 different partners to help each other peer revise and edit.  

No author study project assignments are due this week, but make sure you are reading book #3 to be able to finish the project on time.  

PSR # 2 is due Thursday. Please do not print out your PSR until it has been approved. Once it is approved, you should print out the PSR along with your book log / reading plan and any other evidence. Once everything is properly placed in the LA section of your portfolio, and only then,  I will sign it.

Remember to check the important due dates on the left side of my blog to make sure you are keeping up with deadlines! Enjoy the 4-day weekend, and keep up with your reading!

We are in the last two weeks of integrated! The last day to turn in late / missing work will be next Thursday, April 19.

We will complete the EverFi modules this week as well as finish our POLs.  POLs are next Tuesday, April 17 and Wednesday, April 18. POL sign-up will be in class on Tuesday.  

You will also be given time in class this week to practice your POL. We have a 4-day weekend coming up (YAY!), but that means we will come into POLs next week without a chance to practice in class. You should definitely practice at home as well.

We will be meeting 1-on-1 as we finish up poetry analysis rough drafts this week.  Rough drafts should be completed by the end of class on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, we will discuss Author Style and the requirements for the author style paper.  Thursday will be a D.E.A.R. day for those who need a little extra reading time. Others may choose to use the extra time to catch up on writing.

No class on Friday due to ADI #3, but BOOK REPORT #2 IS DUE ON GOOGLE CLASSROOM FRIDAY.
