We will discuss making inferences, or "reading between the lines," to determine what metaphors, similes, etc. really mean. We will also discuss how to write the thesis statement that will serve as the basis of your poetry analysis essay.
You will research and write about your author on Wednesday for an author study work day.
No class on Thursday due to in-school field trip.
Bring your author study book on Friday for a D.E.A.R. day. Your first book report will be due next Friday, 3/16. You will have a sub on Friday as I will be in meetings in the building.
